The World

In the world we live in there is just so much to explore! We have lived here for so long, yet we know so little, compared to the grand scheme of things. In this blog, I will be talking about the world we live in, and what we live on. In our world land covers about 29.22 percent of the Earth's surface. This is about 57.5 million square miles (149 x 106 square kilometers). Water covers the other 70.78 percent of the Earth's surface. This is about 139.4 million square miles (361 x 106 square kilometers). So actually, the world is made up of more water that land, however we cannot live in in water and most of the water is salty and not good for drinking. Statistics say about 97% of the world's water is in fact salty. Quite interesting huh?
